One, 'Strings'

On a study trip to Porto, I remembered seeing this installation piece. This was set up in such a way that limited how you would experience it as it prevented you from entering the room it occupied. Such a setup allowed for only three different views of the piece to be experienced by the viewer. One from each of the two opposite doorways and another from the adjacent opening. It is the precise and space-specific setup of this piece that makes it so powerful.

The difference in perception between the two views is what I found most fascinating. The first view is about showing how the strings are setup in the whole space and the second view is about understanding how it is practically accomplished and showing a very different perspective.
