Writing aloud : the sonics of language / edited by Brandon LaBelle & Christof Migone
This quote is a very relevant starting point for my intention and aspiration of my work. Although the media (poetry) is different to my own I find the idea of an artist (of any type) having a real understanding of the context (historical/social/economic etc.) in which their work will be seen and perceived a very interesting prospect. I would like attempt to place my work in a similar manner.
